Position Summary:

The Senior Claims Specialist is responsible for handling all at fault- claims in the Claims Department. This person is mainly responsible for reconciling all outstanding claims.    

Responsibilities

  • Review and ensure accuracy of all documentation associated with damage files
  • Contact at-fault individual(s) to attempt to collect on damages to Sixt vehicles
  • Properly bill at-fault individual (s) for all applicable fees (physical damage, towing, storage charges, administration fees, loss of use, diminish values of vehicles and etc.)
  • Run and analyze reports to identify outstanding claims and follow up accordingly
  • Handle billing disputes from individuals and insurance carriers
  • Handle disputes from attorneys
  • Process damage file payments
  • Process incoming and outgoing emails and telephone calls
  • Manage and maintain relations with third party vendors
  • Process and handle ICAR claims
  • Process and handle salvage claims
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must have claims experience
  • Excellent work ethic; willing to take on multiple tasks
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Dependable, cooperative and willing to assist others
  • Knowledge of MS Office software Word and Excel
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to communicate in other languages (French, Portuguese, Spanish, German, etc.) is a plus.
