Position Summary:

 

The Recruiting Coordinator will support the recruiting team by evaluating candidates, and creating a pipeline for recruiters. The intention of this role is to train in a Recruiting Coordinator role for 3-6 months and then advance into Junior Recruiter role.

Responsibilities

  • Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, universities, social media and internet sites; then provides organization information, opportunities and benefits; makes presentations and maintains rapport
  • Screens and pre-qualifies candidates via phone and schedules interviews with recruiters
  • Serves as a backup for recruiters when needed
  • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements, attending career fairs, networking and utilizing job sites
  • Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules
  • Accomplishes human resources and organization’s mission by completing related tasks as needed.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ months experience in a career services, recruiting, HR or similar environment preferred
  • Strong interest in growing career in the recruiting or HR department
  • Involvement in University clubs, sports or other organizations and understanding of how to network with them preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and team-based project experience
  • Strong vendor management skills related to recruiting activities, such as university relations and job boards
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Applicant Tracking Systems.
