    What to expect:

    The Legal Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and organizational support to the US legal team.

    What you'll do to be Sixt-cessful:

    • Responding to third party subpoenas, garnishments, and other court filings
    • Maintaining contract management software
    • Filing annual reports, corporate documents, and new state qualification applications
    • Track outside counsel activities and invoices
    • Handling and responding to discovery request
    • Organizing department activities, reviewing/vetting incoming requests, and coordinating with other departments
    • Administrative duties, including copying, scanning, and mailing
    • Organizing, maintaining, and updating spreadsheets
    • Tracking dates, deadlines and maintaining the calendar
    • Organizing and maintaining documents in paper and electronic filing systems
    • Coordinate other administrative tasks as assigned and assist in house counsel
    • Researching laws, statutes, and regulations, as needed.

    What you'll need:

    • Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certification preferred
    • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a law firm or legal department
    • Superior organizational skills required
    • Able to multi-task and prioritize
    • Able to adapt quickly in a fast paced environment
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Self-starter who embraces technology
    • Be able to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Proficient in basic computer skills: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Must exhibit a high level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality of work matter
    • Must be at least 18 years old
    • Must be able to work 40 hours per week
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
